PRESS: Novatek seeks new Arctic LNG-2 contractors
MOSCOW, Jul 28 (PRIME) -- Russian gas producer Novatek plans to find new contractors for the Arctic LNG-2 liquefied natural gas (LNG) project to replace Technip and Saipem that were stopped by sanctions, business daily Kommersant reported on Thursday citing a source with knowledge of the project progress.
Novatek plans to pass the duties to Nova Energies controlled by NIPIGAS and to little known company Green Energy Solutions LLC registered in the United Arab Emirates.
The launch of the first line of Arctic LNG-2 is scheduled for 2023, of the second for 2024 and the third for 2025. The combined projected capacity of the three lines is 19.8 million tonnes of LNG per year.
